Title: Immersion
Artist: Meander (http://www.meanders.eu)
Album: Sithonia (2011)
About:
This is musical video, and this is the video of underwater life as well.
The scenes were shot in the august of 2009 in the Aegean Sea, at the shores of Northern Greece.
Later I've composed an ambient music describing my impressions of the underwater world.
And when these two have met, this video was born:)

Scenes of this video include following species:

Homo sapiens in the school of Chromis chromis,
crawling Ophioderma longicaudum,
swaying Anemonia viridis,
male Thalassoma pavo,
Chromis chromis at the seabed,
Diplodus annularis in the underwater canyon,
flock of Diplodus vulgaris,
Group of Coris julis female swing at the grotto,
Hunting Scorpaena porcus scares away a Thalassoma pavo male by shaking it's pectoral fins,
Octopus vulgaris hunting by Arbacia lixula sea-urchin lets colour waves upon his body,
then, accompanied by Coris julis female, covers the boulder like an umbrella,
Spacecraft-like Sepia officinalis patrols the sands,
A tiny Sepia changes colour and then disguises itself burying in the sand,
Mullus surmuletus diggs the sand in search for food,
Astropecten spinulosus gliding the sandy dunes of the bottom,
Echinocardium flavescens sea potato urchin digs itself into the soil by undulating it's spikes,
Chromis chromis drop deeper when approached,
Mnemiopsis leidyi comb-jelly moves rainbow waves across it's combs,
Rejected Rhizostoma pulmo jelly-fish makes it's way through the space,
school of very young Sarpa salpa,
wounded Atherina boyeri (?),
A pair of Serranus scriba painted comber by Octopus vulgaris with the sceleton of sea-urchin,
Serranus scriba, serranus cabrilla and female of Thalassoma pavo excourt Octopus vulgaris on it's hunt for crabs,
Octopus vulgaris is being pet:),
Scorpaena notata rock fish keeps still in the grotto,
while Scorpaena porcus hunt outside, where it matches in color as well,
Swiming under the schools of Chromis chromis is quite unforgettable experience.

Oh, yes, almost forgot: all the scenes were shot with no scuba-gear, simply by free-diving. That is why it's jerking sometimes, sorry.

  • @MultiSuperUsername O_o

Your comment reminds me a joke:

Psychologist shows man a square drawing on a paper and asks, what does he see?

    - A bed for two swinging pairs!

    -Ok, and in this triangle?

    - A bed for three bisex doggystyle partners!

    - Hm, what about this five-edged star image?

    - Doctor, you are pervert!!!

    ;-)

  • Thank you! Absolutely Beautiful! :-)

  • @rocksiphone I'm glad You like it!:)

  • Could someone tell me where exactly in the Mediterranean this diving spot is located? All I can say is: wow it's amazing!

  • Dear @leb1969, this video was shot at the shores of Chalkidiki in Greece.

In fact, all the species are very common all through the Mediterranean.

    Thank You for your responce:)
