Baltimore Unsigned challenged two local musicians, country-folk rocker Caleb Stine and hip-hop artist Saleem, to write four songs in six weeks.
On Saturday, July 26th, the duo discussed the collaboration and debuted the songs—including a bonus fifth song—during a live taping of Baltimore Unsigned at the 8 x 10 Club.
The partnership didn't end at the 8 x 10. The duo recorded a full-length album, "Outgrown These Walls." More information is available at: http://www.myspace.com/calebandsaleem
Baltimore has needed a song representative of it's culture and people and this one gets to the heart of it. Thanks for helping to define this odd old city in such a cool new way.

shit iam pretty impressed. This dude, Sandtown Hoodfellas, 810, and some other MC i saw live in the city but dont know the name, are the bes hip hop ive seen out of B-more. But I think Saleem is prolly favorite amongst them.
I also think this duo is apt. b/c of the mason dixon line symbolism, the meeting point of the North (hip-hop) and the South (country).
