Brings back some great memories. Harry Morgan always portrayed the same character: Harry Morgan! He was one of the lucky ones who was allowed to have his personality shine through his characters. Thanks for your work, Harry!

I was 10 years old in 1962, and use to watch this on TV. It's where I first became familiar with Harry Morgan. I followed him to televisions Dragnet, then Mash, and several other movie appearances. Today (Wednesday 12-07-2011), it was reported he had died at the age of 96...WOW! Ironic isn't it...today is the 70 year anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor! I can just hear Colonel Potter..."War is Hell". Rest in Peace and thanks for the many years of swell entertainment!

This show was what TV should be at the family hour.

This was a really popular show for a few years. While Harry Morgan had a long career, Cara Williams didn't do much after this, reportedly because she was hard to work with.

I have fond memories of this and it's predecessor, "December Bride". It is kind of weird, though, to see Joe Mantell (an Academy Award nominee for his role in "Marty") in a sitcom.

The day before my birth..

Even Harry Morgan has stated this was not a very good series. To use an electronics analogy: the components were high quality, but the circuit was poorly designed. And incidentally--once and for all for wiki and all--whether or not the cancellation of this show had anything to do with Lucy coming back, the fact remains that Pete & Gladys did NOT occupy the same time slot vacated by I Love Lucy (Mon 9P) or taken over by The Lucy Show (Mon 8:30). P&G spent its two seasons on Monday nights a 8PM.
Those of you who just love, love, LOVE looking at these old chestnuts on YouTube, raise your hand.

This was a favorite show of mine in the early '60's.I wish some cable network like TVLand would pick it up.
