Baader Hyperion Eyepieces

Baader Hyperion Eyepieces & Fine tuning rings;

With the addition of Baader's new Finetuning Rings, each Hyperion eyepiece can now function as 3 eyepieces!
The added spacing decreases the focal lengths (increases magnification)

Hyperion 8mm Eyepiece

w/14mm Ring will be 6.0 mm
w/28mm Ring will be 5.0 mm
w/14mm + 28mm Ring 4.3 mm
This eyepieces are also real great for the ETX-70/80! and they have 20mm of eye-relief!!!!

The eye can adapt to the 5mm or 3.5mm much better than the camera can, even so using the 5mm on your scope will render an exit pupil of 0.5mm so even the eye will be challenged..You should keep the Exit pupil around the 1mm mark to avoid dark images. In your particular scope that translates to a maximum of the 8mm eyepiece getting you 87.5x with an exit pupil of 1.25mm. Hope you are following me here?
