When the last Airbus 480 is flown to the scrap-yard, the flight-crew will, most likely, fly home on a DC-3

A while go I saw a DC-3 overflying a taxiing 747 at Honolulu airport. You can almost hear her say, "Fuck you, I'm still Queen of the sky". And that magnificent ship surely is!!! Yes, we have a DC-3 flying out of Hono. =Stefan=

@smacman68 "Caged" means the gyro or pitch controller is turned off, i.e. the vacuum power to it is shut off and it won't move at all. You'd cage the gyro if you're going to do extreme maneuvers such as very steep attitudes or barrel rolls and loops (which I'm not sure the DC-3 can do!) The reason you'd cage it is because extreme attitudes can break the gyro if it's turned on (uncaged).

Great plane...great vid.......Thanks...well worth watching!
The DC-3, as 2009, is still transporting food and supplies to remote "in the middle of nowhere" towns at my country.
Gorgeous, indestructible, powerful airplane, even after crashed and broken in two, could be repaired and fly again.
One DC-3 or B727 weights in passion more than 20 fag A-380's
