Anthony Coniglio - Pompano Beach Piano Competition - Chopin Waltz in A-Flat Major Op. 69 , No. 1

Anthony Coniglio is playing Chopin's Waltz in A-flat Major, Op. 69, No. 1 at the awards concert at the Pompano Beach Piano Competition at age 13. Just three years after Anthony started playing the piano and reading music, he entered his first piano competition, and placed 2nd at Florida's 2009-2010 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Junior Performance STATE PIANO COMPETITION on October 24, 2009, in Tampa, Florida, at the age of 12. Just four months later, he won 3rd Prize in the Pompano Beach Piano Competition held in Pompano Beach, Florida, in February 2010. Two months later, Anthony began studying under renowned American pianist, Phillip Evans, who is a former faculty member of both the Juilliard and Manhattan Schools of Music and currently teaching at Lynn University's Conservatory of Music. Anthony is also a student at Lynn University's Preparatory School of Music in Boca Raton, Florida, under Roberta Rust. He began his studies at the conservatory with Spanish pianist José Menor and then with Student Teacher Molin Wang. He also studies music theory with Thomas McKinley.
