Awesome! Great young voice. Singing into the line, using the breath, etc. Thank you for not trying to "act" your way through this. You used your technique, made a nice sound, and let the voice (and music) carry the line. I'd love to hear what you sound like now.

This is amazing! It really stinks that in the high school versions of Les Miserables the first verse of 'Stars' is cut. Oh well, you're fantastic!

@potterama Check out APA's (Academy for the Perfoming Arts at Huntingon Beach High School). Another extremely superb production performed by high school students. The vocal talents of the entire cast is excellent, and Javert's "Stars" was performed by a Sophomore!

I was reading comments on another video in which the poster argued that highschoolers simply weren't talented enough to take on heavy-duty musical theater such as Les Mis. You are a fabulous counterexample.

You maybe just a High school student, but your one of the best Javert's I've ever seen. I love how you did the actions as well as the singing in Javert's Suicide. The handcuffs were an great touch.:)

Outstanding young man, simply outstanding! Your voice is superb, especially for someone so young, and you portrayed the character very well. Your articulation is spot on, especially from the mid-way point onwards. Someone put a comment about not feeling the emotion. I don't know why because you had got it absolutely right! I hope you continue with a musical/acting pursuit. I think you'll be great!!! Hope to see you on Broadway one day soon! :) Good luck!!

You are really good you should have been jean valjean ( I think that's how u spell it) unstead of javert but javerts a good part too
