I just wanted to say that this video represents the only real conflict that occurred over a 4 hour span.

Also, I personally talked with two policemen and 1 contsruction worker who were very nice and sympathetic to our efforts.

Our goal (as far as I know) was to raise awareness and stop construction, not to anger the police. I find it quite unfortunate that he became angry in this situation but I am pretty sure he was just trying to do his job.

a couple of points:

-the cops only started pushing people around after all the mainstream media had left, so we felt it was important to get it out the public

-i was not planning on filming the event, and ended up with very little footage, i would have liked to show more of the overall action to balance it out

True, the point of this action is not to antagonize police or workers. It is to show that since our voices are not being heard by the govt, we are willing to put our personal freedom on the line, risking arrest, to get our message out. This is the point we are at, where non-violent civ. dis. is necessary.

Hey when one policeman tries to move a group of people where he is clearly outnumbered he is sticking his neck out. Just sit down and he will or should back off and get help or his superiors will tell him nice try but lets just wait till and hope they go home soon.
