i'm ashamed to say, as a child of the 80's, that i did not see evil dead 2 yet, although every single one of my peers has and i remember mention of the 'flying eyeballs,' lol. i have seen 'the shining' though. classic! a favourite. i was a huge stephen king fan growing up, r.l. stine wasn't around when i was young.

the creature in 'a creature was stirring' kind of reminded me of the creature that is on the wing of the plane in the Twilight Zone movie, the infamous scene with John Lithgow.

i enjoyed hearing what he said about the connection between 'humour' and 'horror.'

i think the dummy of r.l. stine was great...whatever artist/company made it did a great job...but it's not creepy at all, lol. what would be creepy would be living with a slappy dummy in my house! i can't believe he has one in there, lol! :)

'really you' was a fantastic episode! it freaked the heck out of me, and, i'm a grown-up! my children have requested it several times. p.s. i think it's great he is ignoring the phone for his fans. he truly put his heart into this 'chat' and i can't believe it took me this long to come across this video. are there any others?

my children LOVE all of r.l. stines' works. they can even sit through 'the haunting hour' and love every minute of it, even though that series is so much scarier. i guess i've hooked them onto scary stories!

the original 'pinnochio' is indeed quite freaky. so many of those old fairy tales and old childrens' tales are beyond frightening. i grew up with old fairy tale books and they were weird sometimes! i wish r.l. stine had been around when i was a kid, but, he didn't come along until i was nearly an adult. didn't stop me from becoming a big fan!
