tocando a bach no se usa el tacon del pie

if bach was alive today, how would he have played it? history tells us that he was always learning and incorporating new ideas into his music. he definitely would have played with an organ shoe and he would have played with his heels ( that is if he did not in the first place which is improbable)
-
Well clearly this is an electronic organ with a concave, radiating pedalboard so the "no heels" idea may not apply. Further the thinking now is that heels were used sometimes even just before Bach. Sometimes we can carry this "authenticity" idea too far. In any case, some of the pedaling here is unusual even with extensive use of the heel but it is very accurate and very well played.

Not a professional player?! Great playing for an amateur! Seems like a lot of heels for Bach, but it's so clean it's hard to complain. Great job!

@itachisharkak There are accounts of Bach using his heels on the organ.

@Renshen1957 From organ to organ really. Organ design was not standardized at all back then.

I agree about the historical aspect of technique, but not all of the pedal boards were too short to accommodate the heal. This varied from country to country.

very interesting

Nice job. Historically speaking though, NO HEEL! Pedalboards in Bach's day were to short to accomadate heel. It also helps with articulation.
Very good. I don't allow heeel on bach except for in Double pedal Passages but you did so well I must congratulate you!!! Why don't you post the whole piece on here that woud be so cool!!!

Thank You !! ^__^ This little video is well done (except the mistake at 0.47), but I've tried and recorded it many and many times before obtain this result. I'm not a professional player!
