@jasonbatson I aagree. WHen they put the federally mandated 5 mph bumpers on the car, they ruined it.

Cleanest year of Rivera in my opinion.

What a beauty, you are a lucky guy!

very sweet ride!! I LOVE the 1:18 scale diecast in the back window! Nice touch...

Thats an unusual interior. They had two inteiror styles, this one with the ribs, and the more pricey interior with the buttons. This carIt has the lower priced seats, but it has buckets and console. Unusual, and very nice.

I've never seen the vents before either. All the GMs I've seen have air enter through the cowl pulled by the blower fan that always runs, and exits through vents in the door jams, leading outside.
-
No need to make them work - the fan runs all the time - the system is designed to flow air from front thru to rear and below behind into and out trunk vents - with the windows closed - anybody wants to see how it flows the boattail registry has a 71 owners and service manuals
-
@decjko that's because the cerva is based off this

Please forgive MY ignorance. BUT what is with teh trunk vents? i dont recall seeing them before on a boat-tal riviera. i had a 72 myself it didnt have them, and many 71's ive een didnt have them either. is there a reason for it or?

@yamahonkawazuki All of GM's 71 vehicles had "Flow-Thru Ventilation" which needed vent on the trunk lids. Take a look at other 71's. Most had the vents.
