No, its not slander, we have to warn against these sick deviants who are trying to modernise islam, saying that the hijab is not part of islam, music is haram, whats next its ok to drink alcohol. This Usama Hassan guy is really misinterpreting things man. We should all follow the Qur'an and the sunnah according to the understanding of the righteous predecessors, not our intellect. In fact, our intellect is nothing compared to the understanding of the salaf as salihin on matters of the deen.

subhan'Allah, it's sickening how many people are making takfir on br. Usama and calling him a kafir - this is exactly why we are so divided amongst our Ummah, may Allah forgive us all for saying such things. As much as I agree with Sheykh Murtaza Khan on the topic, all of those that are making takfir are falling into the traps of Shaytan and might be making themselves of the kuffar according to the hadith of the Prophet, sal Allahu `alayhi wa salam.
