i am from brooklyn, but i felt the same energy in 1977 as a 5 year old. i love it. the raw energy of us. proud black folks.

Damn people sure knew how to party down and just enjoy themselves back in the day. Why can't my peers have this much fun dancing today?? Great footage into a distant era :)

Disco Nights was released Jan. 1979. This summerfest happened in 1979

dam i spent most of my young life in the greens. its all good there until the mid 80's when crack cocaine hit us.

you know what quickly comes to mind watching this...blockclub parties. Yep I said it...blockclub parties. I miss those days and I don't think our children will ever get them back
