chevys are better in some ways and others are better in some ways, i know for a fact a old school chevy will throw the crank be for any Windsor or Cleveland does, seems a lightly modded sbc has lasted me a week and the rods are clapping tops

@Learnthethingsido they dont suck, but chevy engines are much cheaper to buy and tune, the good mopar engines are a LOT better than chevy engines, and Ford v8's has awesome sound but cost a bit too much, thats why chevy engines are so populare, they arent as good as the good mopar engines, but they are cheap and they can take a serious beating without problem, they are cheap to maintain and cheap to tune, but i gotta say i would love to have a 1965 389 pontiac engine in a rat!
