    I think this is a Tut Taylor tune. Of course, a lot of his tunes sound vaguely like something you might have heard before, so it is possible he had some inspiration.

  • I'm guessing that tune must have been passed around through the years.

    I first heard this tune in a song called "Member of the Blues", on the 1997 "The Del McCoury Band" album title of "The Cold Hard Facts"

    The mandolin work on the album was done exactly the same as the tune in this video except the song in the McCoury album had some exra refrains added and of course a blues sung story to fit in with the medely of the music.
