oh, and do your power tubes glow blue and start flashing slightly when the crackling is happening? just that i noticed this happening on mine. might just be a faulty tube or something i gonna look at trying some new ones soon.

i have the same sort of problem with the same but it doesn't effect the sound of the guitar and doesn't get louder when i turn it up, its just in the background, is yours? does it come and go? let me know if find out the cause and i'll do the same, cheers
