Sione Vailahi is the real name of the guy best known as the Barbarian. He was a Samoan. Terry Szopinski was the Warlord. He was discovered by the Road Warriors. John Nord was the Bezerker. He was in the AWA for a long time. Dave Barbie may have played a character named the Barbarian at one time, because it was a frequently used gimmick until it finally stuck with someone, in this case Vailahi.

Dave Barbie did wrestle for about a month as the Barbarian in the early 80's. No one bought it even Gorilla said thats not the Barbarian that's Dave Barbie. The Philly fans shat all over it.

Ok, finally a respose.. However... Look in wwf ring results from 85 or 86... Barbie all of a sudden disappears, and here comes "the barbarian" about one month later... in other words, perhaps john nord also used dave barbie...

"the barbarian" Wrestled in the NWA from 81 to 88, then appeard in the WWF for the first time in the powrs of pain . Barbie also doesn't look like the Barbarian
