Replacing a sprinkler head is easy if you follow these tips from Ahmed. This video is part of Landscape Tips with Ahmed Hassan show hosted by Ahmed Hassan . SHOW DESCRIPTION :This show is only available online at DIYnetwork.com.
Depends on the type of head. For a fixed spray remove the nozzle and check the screen. if it is covered in debris replace it. check the nozzle itself for debris as well, and you may have to replace it also. For a rotor remove the nozzle (small plastic piece that is inserted into sprinkler head) there could be a small stone clogging it. Flush head while nozzle is removed, and insert back into place.
My sprinkler pops up but does not shoot any water out, when i push the sprinkler down while it is still on water shoots on the bottom part of the sprinkler head. How do i fix this?

If that doesnt work, dig down to the fitting on the bottom of the sprinkler and remove it, there could be a small stone or chunk of pvc clogging it
