@surferbrah84 if you couldn't transpose a 7 string to a 6 string by merely changing the key, or octave, then you shouldn't be watching the video anyway

this is why so many people can't use and don't know how the modes function because people who think they know them start to teach and explain them in a wrong way.There is no Lydian position,Dorian position or any other modal position!
It's a matter of what you take for a root and not on where are your hands on the neck.If you want to really understand the modes get the Frank Gambale -Modes no more mystery

@surferbrah84 That is what Rusty plays but the teaching is really all for 6 string. It is only one extra string so you don't have to be concerned about that. All our stuff is for 6 string players except for the new Buz McGrath DVD that is coming soon
