Good luck to Aleksandra Kurzak but I think as Queen of the Night her mother was much better! :-)

I don't think Zmurko is much better. They both are perfect but obviously different. The mother was more experienced singing this aria, but there's so sweet freshness in the daughter voice! I suppose in this recording Zmurko was between 35-38 (1991), in 2003 Aleksandra was only 26! Listen to other (recent) Aleksandra's recordings. Se,s amazing. I'm convinced mother is proud of her dauther. Good luck Ola!

Both are the best polish coloratura soprano. And Aleksandra sings in MET! Dzieki Ola, szukam was obie tutaj juz dawno!

I have been listening to Jolanta Żmurko`s "live" performances for 20 years. It was not only about her astonishing powerful high notes. A perfect technician with beautiful legato and colourful phrasing. Plus a stunning stage presence. A great Artist.
Aleksandra Kurzak has established her own place in operatic stardom. She does not need any advertising :-)

The recording is a bit old, but I really love the way the mother sings. I can't hear if her daughter has the hightest notes because of the recording, but she has a very beautiful voice. I'd like to see them act in a good version.

Well, you are right. The recording is old and of a poor quality as well. I will do my best to find better version, they are both worth of it.
