A nice restuarant in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.

Nice restuarant in Ubon Ratchathani near the lake. Four of us ate for 512 baht. We drank two large orange drinks, I think they were fantas and one water. 512 baht at current todays exchange rate is around $15.50, for four people thats not bad at all.

I'll have to look up Maha Sarakham. I have to admit I really like isaan, well for that matter I really like all of Thailand so far. I was raised in a smaller midwest town in the USA so larger towns are frustrating for me. Ubon for me was a larger city and at times was also frustrating. I took a trip to Buriram last year and it seems to be about the right size and with many farang. So mIght spent more time there this year.

Hi poseldonjambu,

I'm sorry but I have no idea where Nuay Wang Nong is. We were being shown around by a teacher and she drove us to many temples and at lunch time she stopped at this restaurant in Ubon. Most of the day I had no idea where we were. It was my first time in Ubon but not my last.

Nice Video Jon - Yes, it's a typical Ubon restaurant which is great to see - and we need more videos like this to show people what the normal parts of Thailand are like - not the donkey shows. They have those here? Anyway, great video and the music - very nice...!
