Im just taking a quiz about factoring trinomials and using the box method...sadly we have a student teacher and with her...her method just wont go into my head! But this helped me figure it out, thanks! And very nice music.

The music reminds me of the torture music in the movie Clockwork Orange. What a horrible mistake to put this music to this video.

@Zuppos123 In my estimation, this piece of music may be one of the top ten best ever compositions. I don't see why we should allow its terrible misuse in a movie define it negatively to us. Thanks for viewing and commenting.

do you always add the diagonal or do you subtract when both numbers are positive?

@Strike0329 If they are set up the way they are in the video, you would have an x term or some number times x in the lower left hand corner of the box and an x term in the upper right of the box. You add the two together. If the lower left corner term is 3x and the upper right corner term 8x, the like terms would combine to make 11x, and that would be postive 11x. Thanks for commenting.

Okay, you have to tell me if you did pass the test. I did look you up as a new subscriber and think it's so cool you are a fine musician and like Rush (the rock group). I think my favorite is Subdivisions. Good luck and it's great to have you.
