When Ted Leo of Ted Leo and the Pharmacists couldn't make it across the border to open up for Pearl Jam in Toronto, Eddie and the boys decided to improvise on the opening act part. For us, that meant we got to see Eddie solo, Mike solo, Stone solo, Eddie and Jeff together, the Pharmacists playing without a lead singer and then Eddie and Mike playing with the Pharmacists! Needless to say, it made an already amazing night even more amazing!! This here is Mike playing a song he wrote for his daughter! Please note how cute Stone is, leaning on the speaker, watching his friend do his first live solo acoustic performance!

Just saw Mike with his wife and daughter today at a benifit show he did here is Seattle, and I have to say that he looked like this song was still how he felt about her!

We spent too long on a patio and didn't realize how long it would take us to get down to the Amphitheatre, so we missed the entire opening with all the solo performances. I will regret that for the rest of my life! Thanks for posting these. At least I can see what I missed!

And yes, Stone is so sweet watching at him! The funny part is, I saw a video of Stone's solo performance the same night and guess what? Mike was doing exactly the same thing! he took a sit on the stage and watched at him during the entire performance!! Ahhh, I love these guys!!!
