brain switched off in less than 1 minute... asking students to read directly from the text book is not helping either. You cannot 'ask for' concentration from students...

I couldn't even sit through this whole video let alone sitting and listening to this kind of instruction day after day. Poor poor children that have to listen to a teacher in this way! I wonder if there is a correlation between teen suicide and direct instruction . . .

if i was sitting at that desk, i would shoot myself in the face. i dont know how its possible for anyone to be a fan of direct instruction.
