Who or *what* is it that ultimately awaits us on the opposite shores of this vast interstellar ocean in which we drift? To know that, surely would be to transcend the known limits of science, and to know from whence we ourselves were born and the essence of whom we really are.
The true philosophical meaning of First Ark to Alpha Centauri is something which is profoundly deep, and not easily quantifiable in neither words nor pictures. "The universe is a more intimate and magical place than the modern disenchanted view presented by too many facts and numbers . . ." is a thought I've held deep in my own beliefs.

The glorious music in this trailer was used with kind permission from a friend of mine, Kori Carothers. I hope you will visit her site http://www.koritunes.com and enjoy more great music.

  • very cosmic, a transcendental new age spacey visionary futuristic delight of soothing proportions

i feel like floating, levitating, having an out of body experience, or just plain saving up enough money to go on one of RICHARD BRANSON'S outerspace flights...

this is very star trekian, but with a more spiritual tone and approach - more peaceful, minus the territorial a-hole races of space that can't get enough space for themselves... which i'm sure is an absurdity out there in practice...

  • I see the Heavens, and I see God's Creation. It's beautiful beyond words. Although mankind is highly creative, we could never compare to the wonders of God's Creation, ever! Love the song and the video. We should live up to His expectations; be all that He created us to be - a beautiful peice of artwork. 5 Stars!

  • At the humanitys current stage of development, an hollowed out asteroid that is swinged to rotate around stable axis and launched towards destination star, is only "practical" way of building a generational colony ship, where passangers would live for generations while the asteroids travels through void for thousands of years.

  • To travel through time we need to move as fast/faster than the speed of light, and IS possible. but sucks to say that the Gs would be so great that it would eventually squish the human inside the ship.. unless we had a couple hundred years or so to speed it up slowly

  • bruhe, it rocks for me, yeas,,,,,,,,

  • i have not seen such an awful trailer in my life.......

  • HAHHAHAHAH ive never seen such utter drivel, please make this so i can laugh till i shit myself.

  • If God had wanted us in outer space, we'd be born with rockets on our butts, so don't be surprised if all you "space worshippers" end up burnin' in hell. The Bible is the only explanation anybody needs, so believe you me that on that glorious day in 2012 when Sarah Palin is finally elected our president, NASA will be dismantled and all this science nonsense will be outlawed! GO SARAH! YEE-HAW!!!

  • @harduproberto every year thought we've been taking steps to increasing our time in space. I hope when I grow old I can afford a flight into space or at the very least have my ashes spread across the solar system

  • @dano9181 No harm in wishing. We struggle to launch small things to the orbit and the moon that're less than 1 millimetre away from here by cosmic standards of distance. Out of 130 space shuttles launched to orbit, 2 ended in fatal disaster. Out of 7 missions launched to the moon, 1 ended in near fatal disaster (apollo 13).

It seems the stars are quite something very mysterious in their placement away from us. what do you think? ;)

  • very beautiful!

  • pretty soon with new tech I'm hoping we can get there in a 40 year burst from a nuclear reactor plus using ion drives
