I didn't feel like changing my Youtube avatar so instead I made it relevant again :D

Meta Knight wasn't designed to be fought with Suplex. You can catch his green projectile for huge damage if he ever decides to throw it, but otherwise the only way to deal damage is with the drop kick. But whenever you're above him, he jumps D:
Fortunately, it's possible to hit him while still being far enough for him to jump. You have to hit him on the shoulders.

Of course, that's only between his attacks. Meta Knight has quite a few attacks to deal with you, and about half of them are super annoying and damn near undodgeable. And while at first damaging him isn't too hard, when his health drops below 50%, he stops waiting between attacks and just chains them nonstop, so even trying to damage him becomes too risky. Well, unless he uses his favorite attack.

Here's a list of them :

- Jump : If you jump over him, he'll jump straight to collide with you. Otherwise, he usually jumps forward. If you ever get right in front of him, including when he lands, he'll hit you with a sword slash, so be careful. This is also the attack he uses if you try flying with Kirby, and because flying Kirby is slow the attack becomes undodgeable. He seems to do it more often if you jump around.

- Walk : One of Meta Knight's most fearsome attack :p
No, seriously, this completely screws up my timing for the drop kicks and I get hit. Meta-Knight will walk for a random distance (he may stop at some points if he notices you're above him). He can walk pretty far, so if you're cornered, you have to airdash and hope he doesn't jump. It's possible to hit him up to four times though if you see it coming early enough and manage to always hit the shoulder pads.

- Tornado : This is the attack you want to see in the latter half of the fight. Only (relatively) safe way to hit him. Simple to dodge, but be sure to make him do large enough arcs or he won't have any trouble following you. When coming at you he usually aims further from your position so you can't run away, so run towards him or stay put. He absolutely loves this attack, or maybe he just gets pissed when he misses you and will try over and over again. Jumping around seems to make him use it more often.

- Whirlwind : In the first half of the fight, this attack spans 1/4th of the screen and isn't dangerous unless you're cornered. On the second half it spans like 3/4th of it and is a major pain in the ass. It can be dodged by airdashing over him but good luck seeing it fast enough.

- Swordbeams : Runs two inches away from your face, lifts his sword, then sends miniswords or something that deal a lot of damage, even when blocked. As you get hit when he lifts his sword, and he does it really quickly, it's nigh impossible to see this attack coming and dodge in time. Hope you're either in the air or slightly away from him when he uses it (you should be jumping around most of the time anyway).

- Shock Wave : Same deal as the previous attacks, the sword slash is impossible to react to if you're not in the right position. It takes him some time to throw the shockwave so it can be a good time to land a few kicks. Be careful not to get hit by the sword slash he does after the attack ends.

- Flying thrust : No big deal, wait until he comes at you then either dash or duck. If you're too close too him he'll just change his angle and hit you. There's more then enough time to get a kick in, but it screws up my timing for the dodge, so meh.

- Green wave thing : He doesn't come close enough to hit you normally, so that's good. Get away from him a bit and try to catch the projectile. Every hit you do with it will damage Meta Knight for around 1/4th of his health. If timed perfectly, you can hit him 3 times at once : one from lifting the projectile over your head and two from the jumping slam.

There's also some random slash he does sometimes but it's not really common, exploitable or hard to dodge.

  • Yay relevent avatars :3 .... Wait that stage is relly small.

Aww... you totally missed at 2:30 c:

LOL Hacks at 4:06 I din't know metaknight could teleport...well that run seemed a bit glitchy.

But overall looks almost impossible to defeat metaknight perfectly with suplex.

  • @Pluslefanp It took over 200 tries, so pretty much.

As for the glitch, another time what happened is Meta Knight simply disappeared, meaning the fight couldn't end and forcing a restart.
