@puffycloudsofdeath They mean no chemicals directly reacting with the gold.

Everything is a chemical be more specific!

I tried to deposit the aquous solution on YSZ and the color goes blue? Is that normal because it seems that the particles clumped into smaller size...

okay, cool, thanks :)

Can I have the technical specifications of the laser you're using?

@ProxySpam
This video was taken using a 50 W picosecond laser at 1030 nm.

Do you sell these and if so, where can i purchase them?

@lotus63613 Thank you for asking, and yes: we sell such nanoparticles of high purity and almost any metal, alloy, or ceramic, in water, acetone, and other solvents. Please visit "particular.eu/nanoparticles.html" and have a look. Contact address: info@particular.eu

So essentially, they're shooting the gold piece with a laser which makes it super hot and allows some nanoparticles to be released from the solid metal...?
sciencoking 1 year ago
@sciencoking Yes - in a way. But the gold piece was not really heated up, because the applied pulses were very short. This creates a plasma in the focus, and the irradiated material is vaporized and solidifies - avoiding melt around the ablation zone.
