@MDSphinx I believe I never said that this is the way the original was played? This is just one way of playing it. The idea of this video was to present a relatively easy metal song to play for guitar newbs, and most guitarists who've just started out wouldn't have guitars with strings that would sound good when tuned that low, as you "need" fat gaged strings, just like you pointed out. You're free to disagree, but I think this tuning better served the purpose of being easy and accessable.

MY ADVICE FOR ALL GUITAR NEWBS OUT THERE IS TO LEARN ABOUT DIFFERENT TUNINGS AND WHAT STRING GAGE'S TO USE, AS IT CAN HELP YOU BECOME A MORE EFFICIENT PLAYER, THATS WHAT I FOUND ANYWAY, JUST MY OPINION THOUGH..

well, if you really try not to be a hater, then maybe you should just rate the video accordingly and shut up. :) I don't take this really seriously, I just do it for fun! And if some people who've just begun to play can get something out of it, then what's wrong with that? :) Take it in the context it's meant to be. These videos are for people who just started playing, or people who just got home from work, are tired and decided to find a song to strum along to. :)

yea except for people who have been playing guitar for longer than 6 months to know that the solo in part 2 is HORRIBLY wrong. im not trying to hate but dont put instructional videos on how to play something if its absolutely wrong on the hard parts. i mean who cant figure out the verse? its a simple riff inside of a scale
