  • I'm so glad to hear how you talk about children (because I've often felt TOTALLY ALONE in having exactly the same attitudes). What's strange is that most people seem to have exactly the OPPOSITE view: they treat children (ESPECIALLY their own children) the WORST of all the people the interact with. The only "rationale" I can conceive of for them is that they focus their aggression on the "easiest target."

  • @GetMeThere1 thank you so much for your kind words, I'm glad that you don't feel so alone anymore, you might want to check out my free message board on my website... :)

  • I found this series, and the work of Gabor Mate, extremely beneficial. The understanding that violence in any form is destructive and counterproductive, no matter the genuine motivation behind it. The remark, "spare the rod, spoil the child" is a slogan that will one day be as disgusting a remark as someone promoting wife beating. I do hope humanity at large can overcome the plague of violence in order to make this a far more rational and loving world. Thanks Stef!!*

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to do this series, I really learn a lot and it change my perception about what is the most important aspect when raising a child. I will share this with everybody I know, and I will try to translate it to my native language spanish. Thanks again.

  • great serie, i enjoyed it a lot, but what u said, that feminists said its no longer ok to beat your wife, maybe so, but still violence against men is still socially acceptable, just as it is towards children, just wonted to point that out

  • @GetMeThere1 This is so true, I have noticed and experieced this too, at first i couldnt not understand why, why do we treat our childrent the worst then all the people we interact with ? it makes sence now, thank you for enlightening me Stefan, I shall be shareing this with everyone I can :)

  • thanks i think this series very interesting

  • Thanks these videos were helpful and led me to further research how to fix it: Yahoo or Google: Six Ways to Help a Brain Heal by Daniel T. Moore and PTSD and Childhood Trauma by Bob Murray. Like you said, if it can be found then good therapy is key and some sort of Feldenkrais body work because "PTSD has proven spectacularly resistant to most forms of conventional therapy, though drugs, talk therapy...and a combination of all have been tried with varying degrees of success. " Still searching.

  • what I do now then? Crap insurance = crap therapy in my experience, I paid out of pocket - way 2 expensiv. I'm not on bus line and no car I am fcked for now. I am looking online for "re-training brain from abuse and cortisol" Why couldn't you have been my daddy!! My mom was extremely aggressive woman. She aimed rifle neighbor, punched other neighbor, tried punch cashier, swung at nurse, and on and on. I look for therapist.
