This is one of my all-time favorite video game songs. I cannot describe to you the wave of emotions I feel when I hear this song in the game. It plays on the Final Night when the clock tower strikes midnight, signaling you have only six hours left until the moon smashes into earth. When the music changes to this, you just feel a paralyzing sense of doom and helplessness, like all your efforts now to save the world will be futile. You feel like time is up. It is the 11th hour (no pun intended), and there is nothing you can do now but just sit and wait for the imminent apocalypse. You start to tear up. Even if you wanted to continue with your plan of heroics, virtually all of Termina has cleared out, seeking refuge elsewhere. There is no one to talk to in Clock Town, except for the all-too-courageous Mutoh thinking this "end of the world" talk is just a rumor, the naive Bomber gang, newly engaged Anju and Kafei (if you do the sidequest right) awaiting their end together in Anju's room, Madame Aroma fretting in the Milk Bar over her son's whereabouts, the bartender prepared to to go down with his bar, the emotionally torn Postman wanting to leave but wanting to still give the people their mail, the crazed Mask Salesman patiently waiting for you to deliver Majora's Mask to him even at this ridiculous hour, and the little gray dog that prances around blissfully ignorant of what is happening around it...
Of course, the end of the world is not nigh, not when you can play the Ocarina of Time and return to Dawn of the First Day whenever you want, giving you as many chances as you need to try and save the world ;-)
Anyway, enough about how awesome this game is :-P At first I though this song would be virtually impossible to do in MPC because of how the pitches ring out and echo a lot, mushing the sounds together often and making it unclear where a pitch ends or begins. Also, this is a very non-mathematical song, so new chords seem to come in at random times. However, when I began working on this song, I found it was a lot easier to make than I originally expected. Thats because there IS a slight pattern to when the chords play, so I based my files around a certain structure and voila, it worked! :-)
It was pretty much impossible to make crescendos smoothly as well as make tones continue for long periods of time, so I had no choice but to insert the same chord several times and adjust volume accordingly. So please excuse any choppiness. It was kind of a pain finding the right volume for each individual note of each instrument at various times in the song, but I think it paid off in the end. The song isn't perfect, but I feel like I recreated it pretty well. It was fun to make! :-)
And by the way, this uses Adolfobaez's Electronica soundfont :-)

@tomnook93 Thanks! And haha X-P I like the moon's face for its ability to evoke a fitting sense of fear and unease which increases as it gets ever closer :-P Looking up always reminds you of what is to come at the end of the third day. The fact that it also gives off the impression that it feels its only purpose is to crash into the earth makes it even more freaky to me, lol.
