Bejeweled 3 review. Classic Game Room reviews BEJEWELED 3 for Nintendo DS from PopCap! Swap jewels and score big points in this awesome puzzle game which has a variety of gameplay modes and saves scores. Bejeweled 3 on the Nintendo DS has solid touch screen based gameplay where you move jewels with the DS stylus and try to line them up in rows of three or more. CGR Bejeweled 3 video review features Bejeweled 3 gameplay on Nintendo DS from Pop Cap Games. PopCap also released Bejeweled 3 for PC (and other versions of Bejeweled are on iPad)

  • Damnit Mark, you really suck in this game =.='

  • ugh, I can't deal with the ice storm mode. Too much pressure, keeping up with the time limit of every wave of cold. Every time I just get too nervous and freeze on the spot

  • @darknight068 And most of what you pay for has fundamentally been free online for years. There are so many better options for the same price, with far more content.

  • @WinCamXP Twist has been available for about two years on DS IIRC. A stripped down version (Beta IMO) of it was released on the DSi shop first before it hit retail. It got a retail release early that next year that added the rest of the modes, graphics, and considerably improved performance.

  • @ZeeM So it can be missing half the modes? No thanks. You get what you pay for.

  • @themikester223 That version is gimped and missing modes. No Poker, Butterflies, IceStorm, Lightning, or Quest at all. You get what you pay for. It looks nicer obviously, but that's about it.

  • @andiizoar Of course it is, especially when the DS didn't get it.

  • IMO, this is definitely the better of the two Bejeweled series ports on DS. I'm actually pretty pleased with how much of the visuals and presentation still remained intact on this release. That and it's great to see it run at 60fps, Griptonite seems to have figured out a lot since DSiWare Bejeweled Twist.

The only issue, and it may be for some, is that just like Bejeweled Twist it's easier to get high scores on here than it is on the PC. It feels like the game rules aren't as strict here.

  • @jeisensei You can't save level progress on the free versions.
