Here is an exerpt from a recent dynamic conditioning workout with UFC Fighter Mark Munoz. He has a 16 pound weight vest on that is fastened extra tight to constrict his breathing. This is the second of 3 x 10 ten minute rounds.

  • dude stop breathing thru ur mouth its not good at all for ur resistance and if u have ur mouth open in a fight ur gonna ghet the shit knocked out of u

  • @Freshhotwater so when his nose gets punched in a fight and is swollen, should he breathe out of his ass? It's best to get as much oxygen in however most easy, if nose is stuffed or passages too small to get air in quickly in large amounts, then one must breathe through the mouth. If Mark gets "shit knocked out of him" it would more likely be from a great punch/knee/kick or lack of guard, not because he's breathing through his mouth.

  • Quote from Wikipedia:

On January 2, 2010 at UFC 108, Muñoz faced and defeated MMA veteran Ryan Jensen via submission (punches) at the 2:30 mark of the first round. He showcased some vicious ground and pound.

Well, now it is not hard to figure out why...

  • He is a killer
