I'm playing a study: Zur Laute (To the Lute) Op. 37 No. 1 by Heinrich Hofmann on the piano.
At the time of the recording this study needed a LOT of work... but the birds outside joined in and started singing with the music! So I had to post this video... :) Don't mind them, they are my accompanists! ;) But I'm not so satisfied with this recording, and will repost soon.

ps: Sorry for the typo of Hofmann! I really wanted to practise piano when I made this vid ;)

  • Nice playing! Looking at your fingers, it seems like this piece is a lot harder than one might think from just listening... you should post more recent videos of your playing if you get the chance =)

  • @lilly763 Thanks! I've been wanting to post my more recent pieces, I just need to find the time to record them. My camera and I don't get along very well...

  • My pinkies hurt so much after practicing this.. :/

  • @hahahaloveful Same!... you just have to remember to go easy on your pinkies and not practise for too long at a time... I tended to press the keys wayyyy too hard with my pinkies

  • @thinkgreenlovepurple For measure 28, my right hand is too small to play it, and that's not all.. My teacher told me to practice this atleast 2 hours every day. I'm not in high school yet, so hopefully my fingers will grow!

  • @hahahaloveful are you talking about the arpeggiated part? If you can reach an octave, then I think you'll be able to play it, if you jump a little from F and G to the high G. Or my teacher also gave me another option, to break up the chord (Fand G) in the RH accompaniment and play them as three notes with 2-1-5 fingering, if that makes any sense.

My hands are small too... the most I can reach is an octave, even if I stretch my fingers 180 degrees...We shouldn't let it stop us from playing :))
