Running average 32-40fps(without overclocking).You can overclock this video card using AMD GPU clock Tools.How much can you do this,depends on your particular unit but 5740G easy achieving stock clocks of ati radeon hd 5730 ,that is 650MHz engine clock and 800MHz memory speed.Tried in this game and got about 5 fps more.

So how do I use directX9 when X10 is preinstalled? is there a way to swith back and forth or do I have to re download everytime I need one or the other?? I want to play Farcry2 but its not allowing me because, as you know, this graphics card came with directX10. what do I do??

@thebossman2828 In Farcry 2 isnt graphic card that causing this error,its windows 7.You check in internet,people found solution how to fix this problem.

I just received the same laptop but i was just curious as to what the ati display catalyst driver does? im not very comp smat. also, did you install the turbo boost driver??

@thebossman2828 Ati Catalyst helps improve PC performance by increasing overall stability and providing innovative new features.Thats why you better check for updates ones a month.Windows automatically installed turbo boost driver,but you can look in program files,intel folder just to check.

@patrickodavid while i prefer ati in most all cases for gaming. i would have to say go with the asus computer. the gpu is ever so slightly better based on my experience and also u have the 460m which has slightly better performance as well. so ya thats my oppinion on that XP

@ChristyGuitar is it possible that your gpu is maxxing out due to background processes or something. i know that can be killer on fps. also would depend on your resolution u play at 2 ide say lol also may want to see how old your gpu (graphics card is) could be a older 5650 for example the 512mb version. also could have a effect on that
