Husky Attacks Water Sprinkler II

Now is fall time in Taiwan, the daily temperature range is about 15~25. Much more bearable for Huskies to run around and enjoy the beautiful outdoor. Here is Atlas running free and attacking a water sprinkler at a new park opened just a few months ago 2 minutes away from our home. Atlas loves to drink for two reasons: One to stay cool, and the other is a reflex behaviour when he gets nervousness or is excited. He is getting much better now already, but occasionally he would still drink endlessly when he is in a new and unfamiliar environment... especially if the water is running... then he would have to pee all the time of course...

About Yuan Yuan and Atlas -
After that Hollywood Husky movie - "8 Degrees Below", Taiwanese people went into a frenzy of breeding/buying Huskies without doing their homework on the breed. After a few months, the number of husky strays significantly increased. We subsequently adopted two. Yuan Yuan is probably 6 years old and she has been with us for 4 years now. Atlas is probably 3 years old and he has been with us almost 2 years now. Yuan Yuan came with dominance issue and Atlas came with fearfulness to human. But now they are both better balanced... of course, there is still always work to do to improve them. But they are great lovely dogs... and they are cold weather dogs trapped in this country of tropic! We just have to learn to be more in tuned to their body needs and keep them healthy!
