Top Hat Super Deluxe 1x12" amplifier in Fat Sound Guitars' exclusive "Super Fat" EL34. Celestion G12H30 variant brought to you by FatSoundGuitars.com and Top Hat Amplifiers.

The stock Fender Nocaster Tele and Gibson Historic SG are direct into the amp, no pedals were used. A small room reverb was added in post production due to close mic' recording in order to help recreate the sound heard in the room while playing the amp live.

  • Thanks for the great, high quality video. You're video is now displayed at the Facebook Group, "Top Hat Amps".

  • @kennyhollowaytube Nice! Thanks Kenny!

  • Great sounding amp! I can't figure out why I can't make it sound like that! Brian and Stu hit one out of the park, keep up the good work.

  • @trwigg......don't feel too bad about it. This is truly an amazing amp, but few people can make amps sing like Greg V!

  • Once again, great video guys! I've had my "Super Fat" Deluxe for a while now (bought from Fat Sound), and it and my XITS X10 are my go-to amps for everything I do!

Now, if only I could play like Greg V... :o)

Thanks for the good work, guys!

  • @AkaSouhei.........Glad you are enjoying *both* amps!!

  • This chap looks a lot like a rockin' Bill Gates.

  • @twigg: Play it in Gregs style, and it's singing like that.

He uses many open chord shapings and harmonics.

  • @SquishedButterfly It's easy, you just have to have horrible taste in music and guitar tone.... the rest sorta just works itself out. unfortunately if you have good taste in music and tone, then "clean and pure laser sound" will sound pretty terrible. so you seem to have a good start. just continue having horrible taste and you'll find the lame tone you've always desired! Good Luck!

  • Neat amp, I have a 1999 Emerald green 2x12 . I could watch tophat videos all day. Kind of reminds me of a Led Zep "Tone"

  • why do all distorted guitar amps sound nasty? with the exception of the ones on studio recordings and live performances of famous guitar wizard types. this guy is a tremendous guitar player and the distorted sound still sounds bad to me. what do you have to do to get that overdriven but still clear and pure laser sound, instead of the horrible corroded broken crackly noise?

  • You are an incredible player, Sir.

  • Simply an awesome amp with superb playing; great job all! Never heard of these amps up to now... It's now on my eventual tobuy list ;-)

  • I wish there were more guitar players like you in this world..........
