Couldn't resist playing Stormy Monday blues while I still had the Gretsch on loan from Dennis.

  • Thanks for your nice comment ! Sometimes I look at this video and cringe a little...always room for improvement.

  • Great spacing between the notes and big affinity with the Blues,I can hear that. loved when you switched to the neck pick-up getting a super warm and intimate tone, very musical. The in-between tone (two pick-ups a like) sounds great too. Very good expression Peter. Only the older guys can play like this and feel the value of a well placed single note, not cluttering the Music with Ego and forgetting it's about Music in the first place. Saludos Amigo-Vic. :)

    Thank you, Vic !

It took a lot of restraint not to distort the guitar more. I wanted as much of the Gretsch sound to get out as I could afford...and still get some sustain. You know what that's about, I'm sure.

  • blues takes a day to learn and a lifetime to master , and you my friend express the feel of that song brilliantly .

  • Wonderful playing. I dig your style. Very pure licks. Nice, nice stuff!

  • @peterqb24 All those older guys did the Blues with pure tone (un distorted or just with an edge) it takes courage to play with pure tone with a distortion knob always within reach,Vic.

  • Not only a Great guitar, you do it very on the "GREATSCH".

  • great playing, and a kick ass guitar!
