Originally their name was "Avalanche," however, due to a copyright claim they had to change it. They chose "Amaranthe," but this has nothing to do with Nightwish's video of "Amaranth." They are a Swedish/Danish progressive/melodic metal group that includes members: Jake E (Dream Evil, Dreamland), Olof Mörck (Nightrage, Dragonland), Elize Ryd, and Andy (Within Y, Evildoer, Cipher System).
