PDD from Lacotte's reconstruction of Paquita for Paris Opera Ballet.
This recording includes the soloists variations, wich had been performed at the very first revival.
Then, these variations had been cut, like in the DVD recording with A. Letestu and J. Martinez.
Paquita : Marie-Agnes Gillot
Lucien : Jean-Guillaume Bart

bolshoiboy8 -yes, Lacotte created it from scratch. I believe he used some notes that exist in the Biblioteque in Paris for a few dances...I think they are included in the 'Grand pas des sylphides" of the final act. "Paquita" as it was maintained in Russia by Petipa is notated in a performance by Anna Pavlova in the Sergeyev Collection @ Harvard (so is "Giselle"!!!). This notation should have been used, because Petipa would have certainly maintained some of the Romantic steps.

Marie-Agnes is just wonderful, I love her but I didn't suppose her to be so charming in the classical ballet repertoire - perfection.

thank you for the rare post - but it must be noted that Lacotte's staging of "Paquita" is NOT a reconstruction by any stretch of the imagination.
