Great Planes Ultimate 40 maiden with in flight video

I fly for the first time a Great Planes Ultimate 40 that I bought off of RCU from a guy out towards Boston. It has a 808 keychain spy camera attached to it to record in flight video. The in-flight video has been shown cut in with footage from the plane on the ground. This is flown at the Franklin County Radio Control Club (FCRCC) in Turners Falls, MA.

The plane did have a flutter problem at higher speeds. I have since fixed it, the problem being the incidence on the wing was off by like 3/8 of an inch on the leading edge of the bottom wing.

My pleasure to help a fellow modeler! Anyways, I'd suggest the bigger motor to give you some pull out power. I was reading in another youtube video that other guys were using .90 4 strokes on this plane.

I will say this though -- its a great flying plane. I really enjoy flying it. Does any aerobatics that I ask of it with nice precise accuracy. The flutter issue that you can hear in the video was related to the wings incidence being off, I've since corrected it. Flies great!

Thank you for that info. Im building the kit version of this plane and right now is trying to deside between an os 46 ax or an os surpass 52.

This plane has a OS FS-70 surpass engine in it. Flies good with it, but can't do 3d. Can't also go unlimited vertical
