Top Wall Street firms will once again break their own salary record this year and as the gap between the haves and have-nots worsens, could it get worse? Most of the government benefits have gone to help Wall Street get on its feet while others suffer. Mike Norman says what is happening to the United States is very disturbing and the US now ranks the lowest in income disparity in the world.

  • 1% of the U.S. population holds as much wealth as 95% of the population. Globalization is forcing this disparity on the rest of the world as well. In India, China, and Russia, there is an elite upper class being created made up of a select few, while those at the bottom work long hours for very little pay, or else are unemployed and homeless. The U.S. is the worst, with the middle class having been destroyed, starting with the Regan administration. It's worse now than during the Czar!

  • I'm sorry but, I just can't forgive Mike Norman for the way he spoke to Peter Schiff back before the collapse. He was such a smug prick.

  • REVOLT do something bout this shit

  • its cheaper to outsource jobs overseas. why pay an american $35,000 a year when I can pay a Indian or Chinese $5,000 a year? We need to support small businesse. for example , why use contractors from Home Depot or Lowes when you can hire someone down the street to do work? If you bought a rug from HD or Lowes, dont use their contractors, spread the wealth

  • Canada is actually a great place to live but there are no jobs there and most people from there that I know just mooch of welfare.

  • Part of the problem in the U.S. is that our educated men and women such as Economist Mike Norman still believe that failed policy is responsible for America's decline. People like him are not able or willing to perceive that this is a planned implosion. It is this inherent inability in our educated population that exacerbates the problem by not allowing true justice to run its course.

  • The problem is guns - when harms way is out your front door, it doesn't take long for this to happen.

  • @MNgeneralfinance Privatization always works?? Then I suppose the Black Water army wasn't as disastrous as it was, and that all the new harsh on crime laws that the private prison industry lobbied for are just so illustriously majestic. Not to mention the families of veterans that are now in a class action law suit with Met Life, because Congress allowed them to invest all the insurance money in the now defunct stock market. Growing trend? All, but certain industries that will be reclaimed.
