  • We had a band opening last month and I was able to get a QSO with a guy 60 miles south of Birmingham, AL

  • epic 147.165+, i can hear that repeater from my roof antenna, but my HT antenna is on the north side. if i go outback it works great.

yea i guess dayton seems to be the meca of ham radio for some odd reason.

  • thats crazy. 146,940 is a repeater we have in my town W0GkP

  • I can just imagine someone with a scanner hearing your call on like 10 different repeaters in a row... i bet they would be like... WTF? haha!

  • Yaesu 2800-M i presume

    I have that radio

    KD0HON

  • haha. that's only 10 khz away from mankato's repeater. (morse code for GIGGITY)

  • I love that radio you must have a good antenna up to be able to hit that one repeater on only 10 watts in its that noise I do 65 because on the other end if you get a report back it might be way to much noise please use a lot more power

but never use more then need people if they say go ahead in use 65 do but don't talk for hours at 65
