Swades: Gîtâ refuses to reciprocate Mohan's intrusive gaze

Swades: Gîtâ welcomes Mohan as a guest in her village home, but maintains a distance that is especially guarded by her reserved and averted gaze. She not only doesn't approve of cocky NRIs, but is also wary of this rival for the affection of Kaveriamma. Though she spurns the intrusion of his curious gazing at her languishing privacy (âlasya-kanyâ), the next morning she can't avoid the intricate eye-communication that forces her into unwilling complicity in his bad habit of smoking.

Okay you guys are really impressed at the interpretation done by Pundit using Gayatri Joshi's eye contacts. Try appreciating another thing in this video. The portion between 2.18 and 2.22 when the music starts and the camera man focuses on Gita's eyes. Check out how the editing has been done to match the music to her eye lid blinks. Truly amazing.
