  • Church tweeting: "Are you familiar with all the Church Twitter Accounts?" asks LDS Media Talk. You can follow the LDS Newsroom, FamilySearch News, Mormon Channel, Mormon Messages and LDS Tech. Plus click to read what keywords (hashtags) tweeters use when talking about the church, a handy tool especially when general conference rolls around.

  • There are the New England and Midwestern States advocates, the various Mesoamerican advocates, the South American advocates, those who view the entire Western Hemisphere as the setting of the book, and those individuals that favor various isles of the sea, or the Baja Peninsula, or Alaska, or Panama, or whatever.

  • The 7.0-magnitude quake struck at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday, centered 10 miles (15 kilometers) west of Port-au-Prince at a depth of 5 miles (8 kilometers), the U.S. Geological Survey said. USGS geophysicist Kristin Marano called it the strongest earthquake since 1770 in what is now Haiti. In 1946, a magnitude-8.1 quake struck the Dominican Republic and also shook Haiti, producing a tsunami that killed 1,790 people.

  • The National Palace crumbled into itself, but Haiti's ambassador to Mexico Robert Manuel said President Rene Preval and his wife survived the earthquake. He had no details.

  • actually the Book of Mormon is the word of God through His Prophets.

I realize that might be difficult for you to understand.

  • 2 Nephi 33:4

4 And I know that the Lord God will consecrate my prayers for the gain of my people. And the words which I have written in weakness will be made strong unto them; for it persuadeth them to do good; it maketh known unto them of their fathers; and it speaketh of Jesus, and persuadeth them to believe in him, and to endure to the end, which is life eternal.

Poorly written perhaps, Joseph did only have a 3rd grade education so his vocabulary would have been poor at best, but that book was written by ancient prophets that lived around the time of Jesus Christ and were part of the house of Israel, and it does testify of Jesus Christ. don't judge a book by its cover, but read it, ponder its words, and pray to God for guidance.

  • As soon as I heard this announcement, I knelt down and offered my prayer of thanksgiving. Tears streamed down my cheeks and I felt the Lord so closely. My heart was literally burning like a fire. There are no words to express my joyous feelings
