This really sucked. Fortunately, engaging the choke allowed the bike to fire up and start up again. I quickly made it home and took the bike to the shop the next day.

  • I just had the carb taken apart and ultrasonically cleaned. I also had a new fuel filter installed. It's been taken to the shop, and they still haven't gotten back to me yet.

  • I had the exact same thing happen to me, whilst I was filtering between traffic, lucky I was next to a long hill which leads down to a roundabout with a Bike Shop, BUT, even more luckily, after about 3 mins of scratching my head, I realised that when I filter, I put my headlights on full beam to let cars infront know I'm coming up from behind, In a lapse of concentration and a moment DUHHH-ness, I hit the Kill-Switch instead of the headlight dipper, haha lol! I was happy it was easy-fix! :-)

  • dude why would u stop the video then? u only give us 3min only, we cant to know the whole story, and what do u mean by saying "engaging the choke", make another video about this

  • Last I remember you had a Green ZX10R. What happened?

  • its a fuel problem for sure! cleaning the carbs will do the trick just fine!

  • I think I saw you that day on H1 no?

  • @88hawaii dang dude that sucks, i had something similar happen to me but it turned out i acedently hit the kill switch as i was stretching my throttle hand

  • Good to see you back!

  • Glad your ok bud!

  • Nasty spot for that to happen! My first thought was that you had simply run out of gas, and needed to switch over to reserve. Being able to get going again with the choke engaged suggests otherwise. Please let us know!

  • I have the same thing happened to me, I suspect it is the 10% alcohol in the fuel.
