This was a project that I put together to help my Year 10 GCSE students understand who the main movers and shakers are in Shakespeare's Macbeth. I'm fascinated at the moment with transforming texts - taking existing sources and making characters represent other characters, and the prospect of making the utterly gorgeous Katie McGrath (Morgana) into the scheming and powerful Lady Macbeth, and the equally lovely Richard Armitage (Guy of Gisborne) into the valiant Macduff was too good to resist! After all, Richard HAS played the part before...

I also wanted to make Macbeth into a younger, more fey version than we're used to seeing in the actual films of this fab play - I always imagined him and his wife as a young, politically ambitious, good looking couple, and so Bradley James (Arthur) was a good choice for me in the role of Macbeth. The other roles seemed to work out OK, too :).

Enjoy - I hope, if you're a student, you find this fun and helpful, and if you're just here for the eye candy, enjoy it too :)
