  • Santana (ft. Citizen Cope) sounds way better.... but hey it's just my opinion ;)

  • Idk which version I like best Sheryl"s or Citizen Cope's...

  • Wut in the world was thinking tryin to sing this song!!!!! Clarence and the Santana's version is the best and no one can touch that!!!!!

  • @careerofbeingblue Clarence originally wrote the song but it was on Carlos Santana's album Shaman in 2002. It wasn't until '04 that Clarence released it on The Clarence Greenwood Recordings.

  • GIVE ME CLARENCE OR GIVE ME DEATH!!!!

  • why remake something thats perfect? stupidity

  • Even though Sheryl put her own twist on this track, I have to say that you can't take Citizen Cope away from this song. Its his sons and only he can perform it the way he see's it. He's the writer and the performer.

Sheryl put her spin on it, but you can take nothing away from the original version.

  • I love it <3

  • I don't think she was trying to outshine the original. Imitation is said to be the best compliment that one artist can give to another. This cover was probably meant to compliment Citizen Cope's song rather then surpassing his ability. I think he would be flattered to hear her version. I'm not even a fan of hers but this whole "She sucks. She'll never live up to him." thing is a bit annoying. (I love Citizen Cope BTW.)
