  • I had this idea that I would have an appointment with a physician at this clinic here in Michigan for $150.00 and if approved I would be given a script of some sort. I could then at least purchase marijuana at this clinic. No, you're given the name of a "provider" . The pot is good, but costs roughly double what your dealer will charge! Bear in mind there is only one of these "Clinics" in the whole fucking State! I figured I would have $400 rapped up in my first joint.

  • Additionally, you are not required to buy medicine from a designated provider in CO. As a patient here you are protected in the act of aquiring your medicine from anyone, including black market. Check your state laws for specifics about this. From what I read about MI it appears the same, but I'm not a lawyer so check for yourself.

  • In Michigan, one must jump through many hoops. First you contact a number in California, leaving info on a machine, they return your call. This person who will only give their first name gives you a number and a perposterous name, Dr. Eisenbud. You have your Doctor Fax your records to Dr. Eisenbud. If he or she finds you warrent treatment. Dr. contacts the Michigan office where another Dr. examines you for $150.00 and determines if you get the pot. This will be roughly twice the going rate.

  • Dr. Eisenbud is an actual doctor in CO. In fact, he was the doc I saw at the THC Foundation. One must jump through hoops no matter what state they are in . My suggestion to you is to find a different doctor or clinic. No one said that is the only way. Again, as I said, you should grow your own medicine since this is an issue for you (OBVIOUSLY once you have a permit). None of the clinics in CO offer medicine in addition to providing recommendations. It is a separate thing.

  • thats an expensive joint.lol

i know what you mean though.

  • You sure don't read what you write very well. What you heard growing up has nothing to do with my situtation. You state cleraly that I should grow my own or have someone else do it for money. A registered pateint is what I'm trying to become. I can't get registered. Then you say "If I'm not part of the solution, I'm part of the problem?" So having a hard time with the program makes people a problem? You don't turn them over to the authorities do you?

  • I am not here to fight with people, I am here to provide information to everyone. It sounds like you have a lot of things to complain about, but no solutions. This bothers me, so I'm sorry if you are offended by my response.

  • I never said YOU were anything. I was stating what I was told growing up. If you think you are a part of the problem, maybe that's your own issue. Second, I never said to grow your own w/o a recommendation. Third, please show me a case where a registered patient lost their home, car, or children for growing their own medicine.

Stockholder? No, but I am a patient of that clinic, so I have personal experience that isn't steeped in misinformation (again, speaking of myself).

  • So it's my own "complacency?" and I'm part of the problem now? I know I should grow my own but without the script, they could and would seize my home, car and take custody of my children. Thanks for your understanding CoMarijuana. I don't understand how you see me as part of the problem? Are you a stock holder?

  • Complacency is no way to defeat a failed system. If you are speaking of the THC Foundation, they require the med docs beforehand to determine your eligibility, not to get you in there to take your money and give you no recommendation.

Lastly, you should grow your own medicine or have someone close to you do it if money is an issue. Do you have this option with your FDA approved drugs?

I was always told growing up, if I am not a part of the solution, I am a part of the problem...
