This is how Cobra Commander got in contact with Snake Eyes in the first place cos he was the son of the family that he blames for the death of his drunk driving bro that crashed into Snakes family on way to meet him in airport..

Since Snake Eyes left Commander...he then gave the body guard position to Storm Shadow years later......

the whole SNAKE EYES connection with CObra Commander was in relation to marvel continuity n with a-okay of larry hama himself..trust me on this....Snake Eyes used to be Cobra COmander right hand man b4 the accident n b COBRA even existed....

@265308 The only Cobra operatives I know of who have a past connection with Snake Eyes are the Baroness, Zartan, Firefly, Storm Shadow, and then Destro wanted revenge on Snake Eyes for breaking into his castle in 'Silent Interlude,' so he pretty much pissed off everyone in Cobra. The only connection to the Cobra Commander that I know of is the death of Snake Eyes' famliy and the Commander's brother, but if I'm mistaken I'll certainly try to look it up.

@265308 Now, as for the "Declassified" and Devil's Due/Image continuities......after IDW took over the G.I, Joe titles, they launched two new series. One was a reboot series from Chuck Dixon, which had no connection with the Marvel/Hama series; the other is a direct continuation of the Marvel series where it left off in 1994, written by Larry Hama himself, This makes the Devil's Due continuity a disavowed continuity, or "alternate reality." I don't know about "Declassified," though.

@265308 Sorry, but you're mixing up the continuities. The Cobra Commander from the Marvel continuity was a used car salesman who started an underground empire. He had no past relationship with Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes WAS friends with Wade Collins, who served in the Army Rangers with Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and Stalker before becoming a Cobra Crimson Guardsman of the Fred series, and who briefly took on the role of Cobra Commander after the previous Commander had "died."

BTW let me reprashe about Snake EYes n Cobra Commander relationship..meant Snake EYES was a one time friend of Cobra Commander b4 he was Cobra COmmander when he first started out..that shown....CObra COmmander like Baronesse are one of the very few peo that know who Snake Eyes really is...This time when Cobra COmmander was starting out b4 he even had name COBRA>>

No mate Ur wrong man In "Declassified" TPB n the Devil due comics series right after the Marvel run...n they clearly show that Cobra Commander is one of the few that knows the secrets of Snake eyes n Vice versa.

N Snake Eyes was suppose to be his body guard but Cobra COmmander who started with right idea got power hungry n went too far so Snake Eyes abandoned him the fact he blames his family for his father dead is just icing on the cake.

It was Hawk if recall that told Snake eyes the news....WHo can forget that scene he waiting for his family that never shows up...he lost everything all he had dad was Storm Shadow who was like a bro..n Stalker somewhat..

@265308 In the original Marvel continuity, Cobra Commander hired Firefly and Zartan to kill Snake Eyes out of revenge for the death of his older brother. Cobra Commander found out that his brother was DUI and speeding when he collided with another car belonging to Snake Eyes' family, on their way to the airport when he returned home. Snake Eyes' family were killed, but the Commander blamed his brother's death on the fact that they were "driving recklessly" on their way to pick up Snake Eyes.
