The Faulks once tried to conquer Earth, but were thwarted, quite humiliatingly, by the Retaliators. It's no longer about conquest, but a matter of pride. Seeking redemption from their universally known failure, but fully aware of what they're up against, the Faulks now visit Earth covertly. Spying... plotting...

I made the audio myself, out of a bunch of individual sound clips, blended together like a stew.

The spaceship is real. An enhanced citizen flew up there and circled it a few times with his video camera, then split to show his evidence to the authorities. But soon as he was some distance from the ship, the aliens spotted him and they took off. The enhanced citizen is only a flyer, not even a crimefighter, much less a watchdog or member of any such group that could pose a threat to a Faulk spaceship. But the Faulks are skittish of superhumans, since their bad experience a few years back. The governments and the Retaliators are well aware that the Faulks are snooping around, it's an ongoing concern. But they always run when confronted by a superhuman, so the matter is not a top priority.

This subplot will come to a head in The Retaliators, Act 4 - The Day The Earth Shook. It's not available as of this posting, it's not even finished yet, I'm currently working on Act 2 - Doom's Dawn. But Act 4 is outlined and partially written. The entire 8 part series is outlined and partially written, including the back story Innocent Blood - The Origin Of The Retaliators. That story includes the Faulks' failed invasion attempt, which was the beginning of all this other stuff with the Faulks. Having the entire series outlined and partially written is good for the consistency and connectivity of it as a whole. The one I do have finished and published, Act 1 - Master Of Time, has tiny glimpses in it of events from each of the other seven parts. In that way, Master Of Time is like the linchpin of it all. As I write the earlier stories, I sometimes take the details I come up with for certain subplots and add that new insight into its connecting point or issue in one of the later stories. So the story as a whole is fluid like water, the past, present and future ebb and flow, the ripples on the surface affecting the churning beneath, and vice-versa. Overall, the series is an epic masterwork, made up of smaller masterworks.

Buy my book, dammit. It's good. It's not some slapped together thing, I spent 7 years on it, in some form or another. The other guys don't spent 7 years on one story. If you read it, you'll see the 7 years in the pure perfection of it. You've always wished for the perfect story, this is it. I made it especially for you, so you're sure to like it.
